Steve, don’t eat it!

potted meat

The best thing about the internet is that it gives a voice to all and sundry. Even the crazies of the world. Actually ESPECIALLY the crazies.

Take a look at this guy’s blog for example. He takes it upon himself to eat the type of things that shouldn’t be eaten. Like all those strange tinned meats that you can find in the darkest corners of the supermarket.

Although scroll down a bit further and you can read his hilarious experience with tasting his wife’s breast milk.
We NEED guys like this in the world!

melbourne advertising and design club

We were very excited to win Silver for Best Copywriting at the recent Melbourne Advertising and Design Club Awards (didn’t they used to be called Melbourne Art Directors Club - or am I going crazy?)

Well, when I say ‘we’ won, it is more like our good friend and wordmeister Katie Britton who was the proud winner.

Nice going Katie!

Holy moly Arnie is going to make it rain!

As Los Angeles County continues through a drought, damned if their politicians are just going to sit around and watch the grass die.

Plans have been made to make those clouds pour rain by firing silver iodine particles into the sky. Although as a representative says “there are no assurances that it will produce anything”.

Still the image of Arnie firing water cannons at the clouds is enough to make me think it HAS to work.

household goods

Being a bottled water company we truly implore (or beg if I have to) people to recycle our empty bottles. Sure PET is the work of Satan, but what makes it worse is if the empty bottles end up in landfill rather than sent to our good friends the recycling men (and ladies).

But even better than that is re-using the bottles over and over again. The jury is out on whether PET bottles leech toxins after repeated use, but we do know that it is wise to at least rinse the bottle with detergent now and then to get rid of bacteria.

And even better again is reusing the bottles in interesting ways around the home. The Lifehacker blog ran a forum to find out peoples clever uses for disposable items. Thereby saving the items from landfill.

Take a look here

My brother told me the story of how our bottle came in very handy once when he ran out of petrol in the middle of nowhere and desperately needed a funnel. After the great success he had in turning our empty bottle into an effective funnel, he suggested that we forget about bottled water and move into the Funnel industry! Big money in Funnels they say.

If you have ever used our bottles in creative ways, we would love to hear about it. Use the comments button below.

Esky is a portable blow up igloo shaped bar that has been popping up all around Melbourne as part of the Next Wave Festival. Not only is it a great spot to stop for a glass of Mountain Goat or a bottle of ABW, but they also have video screening nights.

The Next Wave festival has now finished for another year, but I am sure a great idea like that will be seen around a lot more.
